Tryavna is located in central Bulgaria, situated in the northern slopes of the Balkan Mountains , in the valley of the local river . The town has been established in the second half of the 12th century bearing the name ” Trnava ” . Tryavna – center of woodcarving, icon painting and distinctive architecture – is itself a museum. The Houses, churches, the traditional streets and Clock Tower Square have preserved the look and spirit of the Renaissance. Visitors can enjoy the unique items in the Tryavna School of Art and the stunning nature.
